Reasons For Moving

A genre-skipping whirlwind of rock & soul...intelligent, esoteric and addictive.

Reasons For Moving began in 2008 when Tim McNally and Scot Kaeff began weekly get-togethers to write songs and practice making music with no boundaries or expectations after having played together in multiple bands since high school.  Soon, they realized they were on to something and, in 2010, they released the largely acoustic Consumption Of The Fittest to much applause.  Recognizing the limitations they had in playing the music they'd recorded live, they added master keyboardist Dave Crowe in 2011.  Vocalist Jessica Palmer Banish, who had played with Tim and Scot in Feelin' Crystal during college, joined in early 2013.  Intelligent lyrics.  Groove.  Rock.  Melody.  Harmony.  Reasons For Moving encompasses all of these and filters them through the creative soul of the individual members and their writing.  Not bad for something that started so innocently....
